Unit 6 An interesting country (Period 2)

教学内容:Fun time & Grammar time

Step 1 Revision

T: We know from the last lesson that students have different ways of studying before class.

Do you still remember?

T: What does Mike say?

S: I’ll ask my e-friend in Australia.

Wang Bing: I’ll…

Liu Tao: I’ll…

Yang Ling: I’ll…
T can provide some pictures as hints.

S recall and answer.

Step 2 Grammar

T leads the students to observe the sentences.

I’ll ask my e-friend in Australia.

I’ll ask Mr Green.

I’ll read about Australia on the Internet.

I’ll go to the library and look for books and magazines about Australia.

Q: What do you find in common?

Teach : I’ll= I will

T: There are more similar sentences. Let’s read and notice the structures and usages.

 

T can first guide students to observe the abbreviation like I’ll, you’ll, we’ll, they’ll, he’ll…

Teach: you’ll= you will, we’ll= we will, they’ll=they will, he’ll=he will, she’ll= she will

T can then guide students to notice the tense of these structures.

Q: What is the tense?

a.      The simple present

b.      The simple past

c.      The simple future

T helps students to make a summary about will.

 

Step 3 Read and judge

T: Here’s the pamphlet about Australia. But there is something wrong inside. Can you read and then find out?

Some mistakes to be corrected:

You’ll find lovely animals here. They are kangaroos and koalas.

You’ll find beautiful cities like Melbourne and Sydney.

You’ll find an interesting sport of Australian Football.

Step 4 Complete the note

T: You have known much about Australia now. Can you help Liu Tao to complete his notes about Australia this time?

Step 5 Try to talk
